Why Some Diversity Teams Perform at a High Level and Others Do Not

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Feedback form is now closed.

For almost 2 years now individuals, teams, and every type of organization (businesses, schools, non-profits, municipalities and more) have made first-time efforts to implement DEI initiatives. You probably know of a few of these efforts yourself. You have probably also observed that some teams have coalesced well around their DEI efforts and have begun to produce their desired outcomes in addition to some that have not. What causes one team to perform well and to produce their desired outcomes and another team to not perform well or to produce their desired outcomes (or to at least not perform at the level they had hoped for)?

In this session you will receive very practical guidance regarding how to create an environment in which diverse teams can thrive as it relates to identifying, pursuing and achieving their DEI purpose. Two real life scenarios will be reviewed during this session. You will also be provided access to two state of the art assessment tools which will further make the subject matter of this session come alive.

The first 15 persons to register for this breakout session will receive free access to these two 21st century assessment tools. Those who register after the first 15 registrants will be required to pay of fee of $75 in order to gain access to the assessment tools. In the end, the practical guidance to be shared when coupled with the insights provided by these assessments will help you to measure, visualize and optimize the diversity of your group and to create a solid foundation for sustained DEI efforts.

This session will incorporate strands relevant for both educational leadership and innovation.

To get the most out of this workshop please email darinshort@columinate.coop to receive information for gaining access to these assessments (we guarantee you will not receive junk mail as a result of contacting Darin).
